There is an installation video tutorial at the bottom of the article
1.Gather the necessary tools: Before putting on your wig, gather the following tools: a wig cap (optional), hairpins or wig clips, a wig brush or comb, a wig stand (optional), a mild shampoo and conditioner, and any styling tools you may need, such as a hair dryer, curling iron, or straightener.
2.Prepare your natural hair: Before putting on the wig, make sure your natural hair is clean and dry. If you have long hair, you may want to braid it or twist it into a bun to keep it from showing through the wig. If you have short hair, you may want to use a wig cap to keep your hair in place and create a smooth surface for the wig to rest on.
3.Put on the wig cap (optional): If you are using a wig cap, put it on by placing it over your head and tucking any loose hair under the cap. Use hairpins or wig clips to secure the cap in place.
4.Adjust the wig: Place the wig on your head, starting at the front and working your way back. Use your hands to adjust the wig so that it sits comfortably on your head. The wig should cover your natural hairline, but not be too tight or too loose. If the wig is too tight, use the adjustable straps at the back of the wig to loosen it.
5.Secure the wig: Once the wig is in place, use hairpins or wig clips to secure it to your natural hair or wig cap. Start at the front of the wig and work your way back, making sure the wig is secure but not too tight. If you want a more secure hold, you can use adhesive tape or glue, but be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully.
6.Style the wig: Human hair wigs can be styled just like your natural hair. Use a wig brush or comb to gently detangle the hair, starting at the ends and working your way up. You can use a hair dryer, curling iron, or straightener to create the look you want. Just be sure to use heat protectant products to protect the wig from damage.
7.Care for the wig: To keep your wig looking its best, you'll need to care for it properly. Use a wig brush or comb to gently detangle the hair after each use, and wash the wig with a mild shampoo and conditioner as needed. To wash the wig, fill a sink or basin with cool water and add a small amount of shampoo. Gently swish the wig in the water, then rinse it thoroughly with cool water. Use a towel to gently pat the wig dry, then place it on a wig stand to air dry. Avoid using a hair dryer or other heat sources to dry the wig, as this can damage the hair.
That's a more detailed process for wearing a wig. As mentioned earlier, the specifics may vary depending on the type of wig and your individual needs. Be sure to follow any instructions that come with your wig, and don't hesitate to seek advice from we wig specialist if you have any questions or concerns.
